Mo'Rice launches new vegan spread

MoRice, a small business based in Marseille, is entering the savory world with an organic and vegan spread made from French cereals, after having innovated on the sweet side with buckwheat. The product, which required more than 50 tests, is guaranteed to be lactose-free, soy-free, gluten-free, with no added flavors, and aims to have the shortest possible list of ingredients: Camargue rice cream, fair-trade cashews, coconut oil, Guérande salt, ferments. In the end, the spreadable cheese contains 40% less saturated fat than other dairy fresh cheeses. A garlic and herb version will arrive in September.
