Carrefour installs ecological checkouts

Carrefour installs ecological checkouts
Friday march 18th was World Recycling Day. This was an opportunity for Carrefour France to launch an operation to raise awareness for sorting habits. Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets set up an "eco box" per store. Customers were able to deposit cardboard and plastic packaging that they do not want to take home in bins positioned at the end of a dedicated checkout throughout the day. These recycling points had a specific sign describing the initiative and explaining the role of each bin.
