Picard's express delivery service in partnership with Deliveroo is being launched in more than 110 cities in France, including Lyon, Grenoble, Toulouse and Rennes, starting Monday, November 15, 2021.
A first test phase was initiated earlier this year in the Paris region, to complement the home delivery and click and collect services already available throughout France. The difficult health context has allowed this young project to prove itself through 17 stores in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, which have recorded nearly 10,000 orders since January. Consumers could choose from 180 items, including the brand's best-sellers: individual chicken curry-coconut dish, margherita pizza, green beans, pain au chocolat, etc.
Now, the assortment has grown to 210 products on Deliveroo, supplied by 165 outlets. The waiting time between order and delivery has been reduced from 30 minutes to 15 minutes, the new standard for quick-commerce in urban areas.
To ensure that the temperature is respected, each order is double-packed with a Picard isothermal bag and a Deliveroo cooler. The distance of the routes is calculated so that the delivery time does not exceed 10 minutes. The first test phases even showed that customers picked up their purchase in less than 8 minutes for more than 80% of orders.
