Which points of difference for organic baby food?
Organic infant nutrition is becoming more and more popular in France. For the majority of French consumers, organic label is very often associated with healthy products. Producers then need to enhance their offer in order to gain market share.

However, having the organic certification is no longer enough. Brands need to find new points of difference such as animal welfare, impact on the environment and climate, preservation of bioversity to meet new (high) expectations from organic consumers more and more involved and informed.

Amongst these points of difference and drivers, transparency is key. Producers have to reassure about their production process and origin, and even more when it comes to baby food.

Acting on the packaging can also make the difference: either by being more visible on the shelves and claiming food safety or by offering environmental friendly packagings.

Finally, and although babyhood is appreciated for its practicality, it has to compete with home-made cooking. So to help facing this challenge, some producers have developed recipes where parents can still add their personal touch such as Les Récoltes bio à mélanger from Blédina.
